Located on Mourning Dove Drive, this home was in need of new picture windows to replace the outdated block-style windows installed when the home was first built.

Zen Windows Charlotte installed custom fit energy-efficient triple-pane replacement windows in this beautiful Charlotte home, located on Sardis Road. The home was built in the 1960’s and the old windows were not only rotting, they were presenting problems to the homeowners.
Our team worked to remove the old single-pane wooden windows. We then carefully installed new energy-efficient triple-pane replacement windows from Lotus. The result is a modern window solution that lowers the homeowner’s energy bills, updates the home’s curb appeal and reduces noise from the nearby road.

The extra glass and gas sealed between the two panes of this type of window style provide superior insulation.
Three layers of glass can give up to 50% savings over single-pane windows and up to 20% savings over double pane windows.

This 1920’s home faced some real window problems. Some of the old windows were painted shut while others had large gaps around them – the result of decades of slow movement and drifting normal to a home’s settling.
As a result, the home’s windows were difficult to operate and allowed a large amount of heat and cold to pass through them. Zen was able to update the windows using modern window replacement technology, while still maintaining the character and charm of this beautiful home.

Double-hung windows are versatile and aesthetically compatible with a variety of different houses. With a wide variety of material to choose from (aluminum, fiberglass, wood, and vinyl) we were able to find replacement windows that matched the architecture of the home. With tilt-out upper and lower sashes (the part of the window that holds the glass), these windows are far easier to clean than their predecessors.
Well insulated, double hung windows are able to reduce the heating and cooling bills of the homeowner.
